Grade 304 is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel. Its chemical composition, mechanical properties, weldability, formability and corrosion/oxidation resistance provide the best all-round performance at a relatively low cost. It is available in a wide range of products. The balanced austenitic structure of Grade 304 enables it to be severely deep drawn without intermediate annealing, which has made this grade dominant in the manufacture of drawn stainless parts.


Alloy 422 stainless bar is a hardenable, martensitic stainless steel designed for service temperatures as high as 1200 F. This grade develops high mechanical properties via heat treatment and offers good scaling and oxidation resistance. Typical applications have included buckets and blades in steam turbines, high temperature bolting and valve and valve trim.

UNS S42000 420 Stainless Steel

The physical properties of 420 greatly depend on any tempering processes that have been done to the material. 410/420 Stainless Steel Bar. UNS S41000/UNS S42000

Stainless steel 410/420, also known as UNS S41000 and UNS S42000, is considered a basic martensitic stainless steel. Comprised of 11.5% to 13.5% chromium and iron, along with trace amounts of other elements including carbon, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, and sulfur. After heat treatment, Stainless Steel 410 exhibits high mechanical properties, it is magnetic in both hardened and annealed conditions. Upon specification, Stainless Steel 410 can be delivered in a hardened, yet still machinable state for uses where moderate corrosion resistance and high strength are required. Stainless Steel 410 reaches maximum corrosion resistance when hardened, tempered and polished. It can be welded using most common welding methods, hot worked between 2000° F and 2200° F, as well as, cold formed and annealed. Because of all of these traits it is widely considered the “general purpose grade” of stainless steel.

UNS S42000, commonly known as Stainless Steel 420 is the high carbon content version of Stainless Steel 410. Corrosion resistance is similar between the two, but Stainless Steel 420 additionally provides increased strength and hardness. Like Stainless Steel 410 it is also considered a “general purpose grade” including at least 12% chromium, which is enough to give it acceptable corrosion resistance. Typically, Stainless Steel 420 achieves its best corrosion resistance when the alloy is hardened and polished, or surface ground.

Prior to the shipping of the bars, these are the hardness test, bend test, impact test, radiography test, mechanical test, chemical test, PMI test, IGC test, ultrasonic test, flattening/flaring test, micro/macro test etc will be carried out strictly.

MTC
The industry is in accordance with buyers in EN 10204/3.1B is providing test certifications. It is too offering buyers report, third-party inspection report and lab test report.

Packaging
To prevent the product from severe damages it is carefully packed using standard packaging poly wooden cases / corrugated paper depending upon the product.
